Horsewoman
Helen is a highly accomplished horsewoman with over 40 years horse experience. Helen grew up on cattle property, and later moved to working in the horse industry. She has accrued extensive knowledge and skill during her experience training Arabian horses, working for race trainers, assisting on breeding stud farms and competing show horses at Royal and state level. Helen currently coaches at her local pony club, and is an active competitor in dressage, show horse and breed shows.
Helen's approach to horses is commented on other horse professionals as connected, calm and attuned. Helen currently lives with her herd of 7 horses, whose behaviour reflect her unique approach. She has a passion for understanding the human-horse-connect and improving wellbeing for both. Helen blends her knowledge of neuroscience, psychology and evolutionary science with equine behaviour to facilitate engaging and enlightening workshops, clinics and individual connection sessions.
My therapeutic style
My approach founded in attachment theory is trauma sensitive, neurodivergent-affirming, person-centred, holistic and tailored to meet the unique needs of each person. I guide clients with strategies for growth, healing, and self-compassion in a safe, connected, and caring environment. We all have our own wisdom, we need the right questions, environment, and support to create a life of fulfilment.
